My Thoughts

Spectacular finale, full of heart-stopping action and page melting romance. Veronica, with her conclusion of The Watchers series, has once again succeeded in taking her readers to a journey they will never want to return from. 

  

                          Reading the final book of a series is bittersweet and you expect the right ending of the characters who have taken over your mind, heart and and what's left of your world. Veronica did just that and so much more! 

"I think he must've sensed the rest, though, because by the time I had finished talking, he had a wicked glint in his eyes. "So, in your dream, I touched you?" I was used to wicked glints from Carden. But from Ronan? I was practically undone."

            Reckoning continues from where ' The Keep' ended. Drew's ( Annelise)  world is shaken by the knowledge that her mother is alive and the confusion of her feelings toward her Vampire, Carden and her protector and maybe the only friend she has, Ronan is not helping the situation. Ties get tethered, trust are broken and everything that once she believed was true becomes the opposite. Reckoning displays the gradual growth of Drew, a lost teenager from 'Isle of Night' to the determined strong warrior/ women she becomes at the end of the Watchers series. The humerous quirky monologues of Drew and the intense numerous scenes in the book leaves the reader with a belly-holding laughs and heartbroken tears. 

"A gloved hand grabbed me as Carden shoved at my  butt, and I toppled like a dead fish into the belly of the boat. A pair of eyes stared at me from beneath a wool fisherman's cap. "Can't say I won't be pleased to see your backside, lass." Did Tom the Draug Keeper just make a comment about my backside?"

    Reckoning is definitely going to own its readers and leave them with a smile on their face while capturing a permanent place in their heart. And don't forget, it also tells who Annelise ends up with.... the scottish vampire, Carden? or the mysterious intense seductive, Ronan? Which team you are on?

Full on Rollercoaster ride filled with cheeks burning passionate scenes and the typical hilarious 'Violetism', Forever Pucked is everything I expected and so much more ! Helena continues to be 'the Queen of the sport Romance'.

                  

          Don't you love the books that keeps on rising beyond your expectations? Because the Pucked saga is just the definition of that. Seriously. you couldn't get out from the skillfully constructed web of flat out entertainment and heart crushing feels this series is made of.

 I keep my eyes on her instead of closing them. I see purple flowers, "Violet".

          As we all know 'Forever Pucked' is the story that revolves around the holy matrimony of Alex and Violet, the pair who initiated the Pucked Saga. But the story is just much more than that. There are numerous connected situations occurring in Violex's (Violet + Alex) life that changes the course of the usual happy ending.

"Don't scare me like that'. She kisses me not letting me answer, which is good, because that's not a promise I could keep."

        Forever pucked teaches its audience how love is not just confessing your feelings to your partner, and expecting the HEA. No, it is the daily works & compromises to understand the individual needs in a relationship, to stand stand beside them when they need you and hold their hands and encourage them when they are afraid to do the right thing, and after all that, still in the end, loving them.Its suffice to say that the book is full of intense feels but that doesn't mean that all it is made of. I mean come on, where there is Violet there has to be belly-holding-eyes-tearing quirky and totally inappropriately hilarious dialogues. And to top that cue in the mothers talk about 'Jizz flavours' ! 

"Seriously, Please do not tell Daisy that pineapple makes jizz taste better. It doesn't. That's a lie some man made up so that women will willingly swallow a load of splooge."

Yeah Forever Pucked is not something that can be found anywhere, Its the exclusive and one-only rare piece that can't be missed.

It felt like we were the only two people in the world, instead of inside a busy, posh restaurant. 

“This is beautiful.  But odd,” I said.

Graham took off his jacket and settled into his side of the table with one arm casually slung over the top of the booth.  “Fitting.”

“Are you saying I’m odd?”

“Are we going to fight about it if I say yes?”

“Probably.”

“Then, yes.”

My brow furrowed.  “You want to fight with me?”

Graham tugged at his tie, loosening it.  “I find it turns me on.”

I laughed.  “I think you need counseling.”

“After the last few days, I believe you may be right.”

The waitress returned with our drinks.  She set a highball glass down in front of him and a wine glass in front of me.

Graham had ordered Hendrick’s and tonic.  “That’s an old man’s drink, gin and tonic,” I said as I sipped my wine.

He swirled the ice around in his glass, then brought it to his lips and looked at me over the rim before drinking.  ”Remember what arguing with me does.  You might want to look under the table.”

My eyes widened.  “You aren’t.”

He smirked and cocked an eyebrow.  “Go ahead.  Put your head under.  I know you’re dying to take a peek anyway.”

After we both finished our drinks, and some of my nerves had started to calm, we finally had our first real conversation.  One that wasn’t about sex or tongue rings. 

“So how many hours do you work a day in that big fancy office of yours?”

“I usually go in by eight and try to leave by eight.”

“Twelve hours a day?  That’s sixty hours a week.”

“Not counting weekends.”

“You work weekends, too?”

“Saturdays.”

“So your only day off is Sunday?”

“I actually sometimes work in the evening on Sunday, too.”

“That’s nuts.  When do you find time to enjoy yourself?”

“I enjoy my work.”

I scoffed.  “Didn’t sound that way when I stopped in the other day.  Everyone there seems afraid of you, and you refused to open the door.”

“I was busy.”  He folded his arms over his chest. 

I did the same.  “So was I.  I took two trains to personally deliver that phone, you know.  And you didn’t have the decency to even come out and say thank you.”

“I didn’t know what was behind the door waiting for me, or I would have come out.”

“A person.  A person was behind the door.  One who went out of her way for you.  If I were a sixty-year-old married woman with blue hair, you should have come out to thank me.”

He sighed.  “I’m a busy man, Soraya.”

“Yet here you are on a weeknight at only 7PM.  Shouldn’t you be working until eight if you’re so busy?”

“I make exceptions when warranted.”

“How big of you.”

He arched an eyebrow.  “You want to look under the table, don’t you?”

Seriously Verity & Hudson's story should never be missed or it would become a capital offence !

If it wasn't because of the fact that I like Verity ( yes like, not love because hey! She has my Hudson. *cue in epic pouting* ) I would have already became an official kidnapper. ( or is it a man-napper, okay that doesn't sounds right. )

"Full of heat, passion and unyielding hilarious moments, Love, Chloe is bound to be an Epic Page-turner !  Torre just started the new trend of writing. "

        Its official ! I'm truly, incomparably blown away. This book just became one of the best story I've ever read and has fully made me a "Torre Stalker". Chloe Madison  is just not a character of the book, oh no! she's is the new face of modern girl writing and missing on her is like missing the future.

"I's spent my whole life trying to impress people. Maybe that was the start of my fall ...... All I Know is that when I hit the bottom, I hit hard. "

      This is not the everyday story of finding love and forgetting everything for it. No, Chloe's story is about finding who she is, when everything that once defined her has been suddenly taken away from her.
